The Spirit Center facility offers many amenities that will enhance every aspect of your next retreat experience.

Shalom Place

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”  (John 10:10)

The Spirit Center offers two significant settings for an encounter with God - both in the many opportunities to experience the beauty of nature, and in the peaceful setting of our Shalom Place building. This facility is located next to the Activity Center and can be used for celebrating Mass, spiritual gatherings, or for quiet prayer.

The inside doors of the Shalom Place were repurposed from the former Incarnate Word Convent Chapel on Alameda Street. Shalom Place is dedicated to the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament.

ACTIVITY CENTER

The Robert and Nell Klepac & Family Activity Center is a multipurpose space with WiFi for meetings, presentations, group activities, and meals. The Activity Center seating has a capacity of 200 seated in chairs, and about 150 seated at rectangular and round tables.

Bob’s Kitchen, named for benefactor Bob Becquet, is a large, professional kitchen that has everything you need for preparing meals for your retreat group. Bring your own food to cook, or utilize pre-prepared or catered meals. Available for use are: a commercial range with grill, a convection oven, a warmer, a microwave oven, an ice maker, a large two-door refrigerator, and a large two-door standing freezer. An assortment of pots and pans and cooking utensils are also available for use. Bring your own paper goods and plasticware for meals. Recycling bins for plastic cups and bottles are provided for the kitchen and the pavilion

DORMITORY BUILDING

 Four air-conditioned units with 12 bunk beds in each unit (sleeping for 24 guests) can be used individually or combined for a total occupancy of 96. Separate men’s and women’s bathrooms and showers (ADA compliant) are located between the dormitory units.

Bedding (pillow, sheets, and blankets), towels, shampoo and soap for showers are provided by attendees.

COVERED PAVILION

The pavilion offers outdoor covered seating with picnic tables/benches and folding chairs. Overhead lighting and electrical outlets on the pillars allow for evening performances or presentations. There are bathrooms attached to the pavilion.

OUTDOOR FEATURES

Featuring nature trails, meditation areas, prayer groves, Stations of the Cross, star gazing, campfire circle, a Rosary path, and plenty of room for outdoor games and sports... ours is a Center that beckons you to connect with God and one another in the great outdoors.
